Join us as a group for this intermediate bag making workshop and learn how to make your own leather accessories with award winning textile artist and leather bag designer Lee Mattocks from Mattocks - Handmade in Nottingham. Lee also lectures in fashion design and specialist skills at Nottingham Trent University so you will be in good hands throughout the workshop and receive lots of advice and support. During this morning or afternoon workshop you will make a designer bag from the Mattocks range and you can choose between a range of colours and styles or mix them up if you like to make something really unique! Most people do and make something truly individual that they will treasure for a lifetime. You will learn about innovative pattern cutting and how to fold and attach all the leather fittings and fixtures such as buckles, rivets and studs. You don't need any previous experience for this workshop as you will be guided through the processes step by step with leather specialist using innovative new techniques to make a contemporary bag to last a lifetime. After purchasing a group ticket we will contact you to discuss dates and styles of bag that you would like to make in your group. We also provide afternoon tea so we will contact you with regards to cakes and snacks to keep you going through the workshop. From the time of booking we will try to accommodate your preferred times. In the heart of Nottingham city center our workshop hosts will be the handmade indie craft store 'Handmade Notts' in their dedicated private studio space with private restroom facilities. There’s also a wide variety of cafe's and shops nearby to make a day of it if your travelling from afar. The location of the workshop is 8 King's Walk, Nottingham NG1 2AE.

CANCELLATIONS

Please notify cancellations 7 days in advance for a partial refund. A fee of 50% would be kept to ensure we can pay for the material costs involved in the preparation of the workshop event due to the quality materials we cut ready for your workshop.  If notification happens within the 7 days of the start of the workshop we can’t guarantee a refund. If other workshop dates are available or if we have people on our waiting list you may be able to move your workshop to another date at busy periods.
